What to Expect from Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 - Wolf & Bear

What to Expect from Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 1 recently ended, and fans of the anime have been eager to know what to expect from the second part of this revival. Bleach was a member of Shonen Jump's big three, alongside Naruto and One Piece. Initially, Bleach was very successful, but the anime adaptation was canceled in 2012 because of waning interest. However, the recent release of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War has reignited interest in the series. In this blog, we will discuss what to expect from Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2.

The first part of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War concluded with a two-part finale on December 26, 2022, followed by a trailer for the second part. Part 2 is expected to debut on Hulu first in the US and on Disney Plus elsewhere in July 2023. Bleach creator Tite Kubo stated in an interview that at least one cut manga fight scene will be restored and animated in the second part, although he was not specific as to which fight this would be. This opening of the door for more cut content to be restored in future parts of the series has created excitement among fans.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 should pick up from where Part 1 left off, covering a similar amount of ground to adapt around 60 chapters from the manga, with a predicted endpoint of around chapter 600. The anime is likely to cover Ichigo's training with Squad Zero, Uryu's apparent betrayal by joining the Quincy Wandenreich, and other high-ranking Soul Reapers' training arcs or quests. Some of these storylines were teased in the trailer for Part 2, which also hinted at the restoration of lost Bankai and the true form of Rukia's Zanpakuto.

Bleach has a large cast of characters, and nearly every Japanese voice actor from the original Bleach anime has returned for The Thousand-Year Blood War, as has the majority of the English dub cast. The second part may see a few new roles cast for the dub, but there has been no news on this yet.

In conclusion, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 is highly anticipated, and fans are eager to see what content from the manga will be restored to the anime. There is a lot to expect from Part 2, with the continuation of the storylines that were teased in the trailer for the second part. With a release date of July 2023, fans don't have to wait long for the return of the anime.
