First up is the highly popular webtoon, "Solo Leveling," which is getting an anime adaptation set to premiere sometime in 2023. The series follows Jinwoo, a weak hunter who is chosen by a mysterious power that gives him all-powerful strength, turning his life around. The adaptation will be helmed by A-1 Pictures, the studio behind "Erased" and "Sword Art Online."
Next up is the highly acclaimed "Jujutsu Kaisen," which broke into mainstream anime fandom in 2020 with its vividly animated dark shounen action by Studio Mappa. Season 2 of "Jujutsu Kaisen" is set to air sometime in 2023, and it will be available in the US on Crunchyroll, with the possibility of additional platforms. The first season and the theatrical movie "Jujutsu Kaisen 0" are available now on Crunchyroll.
Fans of "Attack on Titan" will be excited to hear that the highly-anticipated final season will debut Part 3 in 2023. The series, which originally premiered in 2013, is set to reach its conclusion after a decade-long journey. Studio MAPPA will be animating the epic Viking saga, taking over from Studio WIT.
"Vinland Saga" Season 2 is set to premiere on January 9, 2023, with a slated 24 episodes planned for this season. The season is expected to explore the continued development of Thorsfinn's character, as well as introduce new acquaintances who will play a pivotal role in the story. Hints of the legendary Vinland also being on the horizon have fans excited to see just how far Thorsfinn will go in his journey. Studio Bind will be returning to animate the second season of the popular anime.
"Mushoki Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation" will also be returning for a second season, with Manabu Okamoto serving as the lead director. The first season of the series was widely acclaimed for its different approach to the isekai genre, and fans can expect more of the same in Season 2 as Rudeus Greyrat continues to come to terms with loss and a newfound perspective of knowledge in the world he now lives in.
Finally, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is set to return for a feature film, "Demon Slayer: Mugen Train." The film will pick up where the first season left off, following the story of Tanjiro and his friends as they board the Mugen Train in search of the demon responsible for the death of Tanjiro's family. The film is set to premiere in Japan on October 16, 2023, and it is expected to receive a worldwide release.
